Browsers

Per-browser launch blocks via Image File Execution Options - pick which browsers users may run.

6 features

Google Chrome

Blocks Chrome so it fails to launch from the taskbar, Start menu or any link. Windows already open keep running until closed - pair with Close All Browsers for instant effect.

Microsoft Edge

Blocks Edge so it fails to launch. Edge is the default browser on Windows 10 and 11, so blocking it without setting another default leaves users with no browser unless one is allowed.

Mozilla Firefox

Blocks Firefox so it fails to launch. Firefox is the only mainstream non-Chromium browser, so blocking it closes the last gap around Chrome and Edge policies.

Brave

Blocks Brave so it fails to launch. Because most Chrome enterprise policies (Incognito, Extensions, Developer Tools) don't apply to Brave, blocking it outright is often the only reliable control.

Opera

Blocks Opera so it fails to launch. Opera ships with a built-in VPN that can bypass the 'Disable VPN' control, so blocking the browser outright is the only complete fix.

Internet Explorer

Blocks Internet Explorer. IE has been retired by Microsoft and replaced by Edge's IE Mode - only legacy intranet apps still need it, so this block is safe on most fleets.
